POSITION SUMMARY:

The SEM Specialist is responsible for developing, managing and monitoring paid digital marketing performance across both internally-managed and SEM agency-managed-campaigns for selected markets. He/she will closely collaborate with agencies and market General Managers to achieve SEM strategy goals and optimize campaigns based on changing trends due to competition, platform updates, budget considerations, and region/location marketing mix. He/she will create and present SEM performance metrics, analytics and trend data in a clear and meaningful way, as well as create new internal campaigns, as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage the strategy and performance of all paid search campaigns across various paid marketing channels including Google AdWords, BingAds, YahooGemini, and paid social media ad platforms for search, display and video pre-roll
  • Utilize conversion optimization techniques including ad testing, landing page design and testing, and bidding tools / techniques
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple SEM agencies and General Managers
  • Develop and present paid marketing performance reports to management and pose recommendations to maximize marketing performance
  • Stay current with online marketing tactics and potential new channels
  • Develop in-depth understanding of industry terminology, marketing and processes
  • Develop and evaluate agency partnerships and new online advertising platform opportunities

Job Requirements



MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor’s degree is required, with a major in marketing, internet marketing, computer science or related field is preferred. Candidate must have 3 – 5 years relevant experience managing strategy and setup of paid digital marketing campaigns with monthly budgets in excess of $50,000 USD.  Google AdWords Certification strongly preferred.  Google Analytics experience required, with GA certification a plus. Must have good organizational, troubleshooting, and proofreading skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under limited supervision.  Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Minimal travel may be required.
