Company: Conway Services

This position represents the Company as a marketing agent of attic insulation products and services to residential and commercial customers. Typically this position is the first contact with potential customers. The Energy Consultant provides information, analyzes current systems, proposes products and services, obtains customer commitment through written contracts and coordinates the completion of contract work.

 Actively solicits potential customers regarding Efficient Attic System products and services.
 Meets with customers to evaluate their current systems and to discover their wants and needs.
 Measures and determines the proper amount of insulation needed in order to obtain the proper amount for energy savings.
 Provide information and proposals to customers based on their current system and their wants and needs.
 Ensures all proposals comply with pricing guidelines and local codes.
 Assist customers in their purchasing decisions for Company products and services.
 Obtain customer commitment through written contracts.
 Travels throughout assigned geographic area.
 Accurately and timely process and submit all sales and service paperwork.
 Communicates with Sales Manager and/or General Manager daily regarding productivity, problems and customer feedback.
 Attends all training programs as required.
 Communicates with potential customers utilizing superior written and verbal communication skills and customer relation skills.
 Observes all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
 Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

A High School diploma, or GED equivalent, and prior work experience is desired. Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and selling skills are required. Must have two years of demonstrated sales experience. The ability to work evenings and weekends with minimal supervision is also required. This job requires the ability to read and interpret training material. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Requires the ability to read and comprehend a variety of informational documents, manuals, procedures, process and correspondence. Requires the ability to write correspondence using English, proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar. Must be able to communicate effectively both face-to-face and over the telephone using correct English, proper pronunciation and a well-modulated voice.
NUMERICAL APTITUDE: Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Requires the ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out general written or oral instructions. Must be able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Requires good analytical and quantitative skills. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives.
MANUAL DEXTERITY: Requires the ability to use a variety of office machines and equipment. Must have average levels of eye/hand/foot coordination.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be physically able to operate computers, calculators, copy machines, facsimile machines and other general office equipment. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision for extensive reading and interpretation of graphs, charts and/or spreadsheets. Regular and prolonged standing and/or walking, stooping, bending and climbing are required. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for moderately active work. Must be able to use body members to sit, move and lift or carry objects or materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
PHYSICAL COMMUNICATION: Must have the ability to talk (expressing and/or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words) and hear (perceiving sounds of nature by ear). Must possess motivational skills. Requires strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills to interact effectively with other people, inside and outside of the Company.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS: Work is regularly performed in regular office, residential homes and commercial settings. Work is frequently performed in areas of exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes and airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. There is regular exposure to metals, fiberglass, outside weather conditions, extreme cold or heat and moderate noises. Must have the ability to operate a vehicle and travel throughout the service area.
