Retail Sales Team Lead

National Big-Box Home-Improvement Retail Location

Dallas, Texas

Full- Time Opportunity, Weekend Hours Required

Hourly base pay plus commission

The Retail Sales Team Lead is responsible for creating a high performing selling culture and achieving this through store connectivity, development/coaching of the team, and delivering world-class customer service. Train, and direct all Sales Support Associates within the Home Improvement Store program to obtain and meet daily / weekly specified lead generation activities and goals.



Job Requirements

What You Need to Succeed and Grow with the Pros

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage hourly/daily SSA performance, schedules and activities to achieve branch goals.
  • Participate in weekly SSA meetings to inform, educate, and motivate individual team members.
  • Provide training on technical issues affecting the retail program (seasonal changes, IAQ materials, HVAC equipment, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain positive, direct, working relationships with retail store personnel and retail area management.
  • Inspect retail store displays for compliance to current signage requirements / changes.
  • Schedule and implement planned store “events”, being sure to involve Store Management.
  • Implement operational changes as directed by divisional management.
  • Spend 80% of time in the field with SSA’s and retail store management, 20% of time in the office maintaining administrative functions.



  • Must have three years of demonstrated sales experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and selling skills are required. 
  • Excellent communications skills
  • This job requires the ability to read and interpret training material.
  • Self-motivated and goal-orientated mindset
  • The ability to work evenings and weekends with minimal supervision is also required.
  • Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
