Residential/Commercial HVAC Project Logistics Specialist

ARS/Rescue Rooter of Myrtle Beach

Responsible for ensuring properly sized HVAC equipment and materials are correctly selected for residential installation projects, producing Manual J and Energy Star compliance documents though the use of Wrightsoft HVAC design software, ensuring materials are ordered and/or in stock in our warehouse, providing material pull sheets to warehouse personnel to ready each job for installation, producing and/or following calendars to plan installation needs, pricing out materials and equipment for residential and/or commercial installations within provided specifications, producing Purchase Orders through standardized process, applying job cost to specific jobs using proprietary job costs tracking software, completing monthly inventory of the warehouse with the aid of warehouse staff.
 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete monthly inventory of warehouse with the assistance of warehouse support staff
  • Ensure warehouse remains adequately stocked
  • Prepare purchase orders / Maintain Purchase Order log
  • Review and evaluate costs estimates
  • Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
  • Prepare estimates
  • Completes Manual S, Manual J and other calculations as required using Wrightsoft software
  • Maintain and update project calendar
  • Manage bid pricing from vendors
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractor

Job Requirements

What You Need to Succeed and Grow with the Pros

Required Credentials:

  • Proficiency with MS Products (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Computer comprehension with the ability to learn to expertly navigate trade specific websites to collect necessary information, schedules, and other relevant information
  • Experience using Wrightsoft or other Computer Aided Drawing Program to design or build projects
  • Experience in HVAC construction (estimating and/or load calculations acceptable)
  • Able to read architectural plans
  • Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Independent self-starter able to work efficiently and accurately with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to plan, schedule and follow construction schedules
  • A valid state driver's license 

Preferred Credentials:

  • 5+ years’ experience in HVAC construction in either estimating, load calculations or system design
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or sufficient documented field experience, knowledge and understanding of residential HVAC equipment applications (3-5 years)
  • Strong understanding of residential construction processes
  • Impeccable problem-solving skills
  • Experience using Wrightsoft HVAC Design Products Software - Right-Suite Universal
