HVAC Warranty / Service Supervisor New Construction

$2000 Sign-On Bonus

Schedules and supervises employees to effectively provide installation of plumbing and HVAC systems and other construction services in new construction settings. Utilizes human resources effectively to manage workload and job costs, achieve production and margin objectives and complete the job on schedule.

♦ Supervises and delegates service employees, which includes assisting in hiring and disciplining of employees, scheduling employees, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling, and training employees, completing timesheets, evaluating performance and supervising work assignments to ensure effective operations.
♦ Visits job sites to measure new construction and obtain material lists. Completes work orders with layout diagrams.
♦ Schedules jobs for starts, basements, flashing, guttering, gas pipe, and finishes.
♦ Orders material and equipment and schedules delivery to job sites.
♦ Interfaces with builders, contractors, architects, building inspectors, and project managers to identify service needs and maintain good customer relations.
♦ Evaluates workload and schedules work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits. Ensures that jobs are permitted, as appropriate.
♦ Monitors material usage for new construction jobs, verifies work orders and reviews purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
♦ Places orders for warranty replacement parts.
♦ Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure quality customer service.
♦ Communicates regularly with technicians to assist in resolving problems. Assists with unexpected needs.
♦ Drives to job sites to monitor the production and efficiency of technicians and monitor quality control.
♦ Generates reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory, tools, and vehicles. Review reports with management.
♦ Instructs crews on the proper use of materials and quality workmanship.
♦ Checks completed installations for quality and adherence to building code. Coordinates inspections.
♦ Develops new business by maintaining relationships with contractors and builders. May estimate and price jobs.
♦ Reviews payroll records to ensure that technicians are paid properly.
♦ Monitors preventive maintenance of vehicles to ensure proper operation.
♦ Ensures that employees have proper tools for the job and that they are properly maintained.
♦ Evaluates staff to determine training requirements. Provides on-the-job training and support to employees.
♦ May cut, build and install ductwork or HVAC units, as needed.

Job Requirements

A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent is required with 4-6 years of experience in new construction. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Knowledge of local and national construction codes is required. A valid driver’s license is required. Must possess a working knowledge of general industry standards and strong supervisory and mathematical skills. Good communications/human relations skills are also required.
