We are currently seeking a Full-Time Permits and Inspection Coordinator.

 

Job Description Summary:

     The ideal candidate should be very organized, be able to work in a fast pace environment while multi-tasking. You will be responsible for communicating throughout the day with our Install and Service Management teams to ensure contract compliance is met with every job, and follow up on permits and inspections currently in process throughout the day.

  

Salary:

  • Starting range would be between $16 - $18 per hour, paid weekly

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Process permits in compliance with applicable local and state requirements for residential HVAC projects including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and gas.
  • Performs both routine and non-routine administrative duties, as dictated by the nature of the task, e.g., process permits, data entry, records maintenance, filing, answer phones, schedule inspections, generate audit reports, create mail merges and mail letters.
  • Provides technical support associated with permitting activities, which include: coordinating public inquiry on codes and permit requirements; scheduling and entering inspections; documenting complaints.
  • Enforces and updates contractor registration files for current state and local licensing and insurance requirements; generates notices of insurance.
  • Performs financial activities in support of department operations, which include: collecting building permit, registration, and other miscellaneous fees; administering accounting systems for transaction receipts; performing other related activities.
  • Regularly maintains permit and inspections spreadsheet and submits for monthly corporate compliance audit.
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all levels of management, Building City/County code enforcement officials, Corporate and Legal department, other employees, and the general public.
  • Resolve customer issues, including failed inspections and call backs by scheduling with warranty and or master technician.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work overtime if necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • Associates Degree or equivalent relevant experience
    • 2 years of customer service within construction/design, or related municipal permit experience
    • Meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks in a high pressure environment.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and carry out office work with minimal supervision.
