We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Installation Manager at our Omaha, NE location.  

We are seeking candidates with experience in the HVAC industry; including a minimum of 5 years experience managing a team of 20+ installers with a passion for maximizing operational performance and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL HVAC MANAGER DUTIES:

  • Manages and develops staff, which includes hiring, terminating and disciplining of employees, scheduling employees, setting work priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling and training employees, evaluating performance and directing work assignments to ensure effective production.
  • Evaluates work load and schedules service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits.
  • Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to create and manage budgets.
  • Schedules repairs for parts to ensure minimal down-time in job completion.
  • Assists the dispatching operation to ensure appropriate technician selection for type of service.
  • Generates reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory, tools and vehicles. Reviews reports with management.
  • Ensures that materials and equipment are ordered and dispensed for scheduled jobs. Oversees general inventory control.
  • Instructs crews on proper use of materials and quality workmanship. Stays in touch with installation crews to assist with unexpected needs.
  • Provides pricing estimates to residential or commercial contractors
  • Establishes and maintains departmental operating policies and procedures and budgets
  • Coordinates start-up and warranty calls to ensure optimum use of manpower
  • Drives to job sites to monitor production and efficiency of technicians and monitor quality controls
  • Performs walk through inspections with customers and contractors.
  • Evaluates staff to determine training requirements. Provides on-the-job training and support to employees.
     

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required with a minimum of 5 years HVAC experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HVAC management position
  •  Journeyman licensure is desired.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of local codes and general industry standards.
  • Strong supervisory, management, communications, computer and mathematical skills are required.
