The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate a strong Employee Relations background along with compliance and HR Administration skills. 

Provides people services support to employees within a service center location, maintains human resources to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.  Provides support in areas of recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits, compensation, safety, employment law and employee services.

  • Collects data and prepares reporting for affirmative action, employee turnover, vehicle accidents, personnel attendance, paid-time off accrual and worker’s compensation injuries.
  • Reviews service center terminations to ensure that the progressive disciplinary process is followed. Coaches managers on the use and writing of proper documentation and coordinates employee appeals to ensure that employees are being treated fairly, that deficiencies are adequately documented and to avoid unemployment claims.
  • Tracks applicant flow, coordinates management interviews, performs pre-employment checks, prepares new hire paperwork and provides new hire orientation. Coordinates employment ad placement with local newspapers and other resources.
  • Communicates and implements policies and procedures that meet the needs of the Company and comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Acts as the benefits liaison to provide information to employees and answer inquiries. Administers and monitors worker’s compensation, vehicle accidents and leave programs for the area. Reports claims, provides follow-up and maintains claim records.
  • Provides training to employees for orientation, benefits enrollments, customer service, sexual harassment avoidance and safety issues.
  • Collects and disseminates various data from service center for reporting.
  • Maintains employee confidentiality and responds to requests for verification of employment.
  • Performs record management by creating folders and filing and updating employee information.
  • Assists other departments as needed and completes special projects.
  • Observes all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements


An Associate’s degree in business or human resources from a two-year college or technical school and 2-3 years of human resources generalist experience required. Related experience and/or training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Knowledge of labor law desired. Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.  This job requires strong communications/interpersonal skills, the ability to create and interpret spreadsheets and operate general office machines and a calculator.
