ARS/Rescue Rooter is a National leader in the home services industry and is one of the largest HVAC & Plumbing companies in the country. We are seeking a Central Division Controller to support the financial and accounting functions of 10 branches and $150m in revenue.

Supervises, organizes and plans financial accounting and reporting activities within the division to ensure that accurate and timely financial reports are prepared in accordance with Company policies and that assets utilized in the business are managed to maximize return on each dollar invested.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Act as Business Partner to Division Vice President providing “micro” and “macro” analysis of financials to guide operational strategy of a $150 million division
  •  Implements and maintains a system of internal controls to limit access to assets, ensure that transactions are executed in accordance with management authorization and recorded as necessary to permit preparation of financial statements and maintain accountability for assets.
  •  Maintains an accounting system that provides for accurate recording of Service Center transactions and facilitates timely and accurate reporting for both external financial reporting and internal management purposes.
  •  Plans, organizes and oversees the preparation and compilation of all financial reporting for the Division.
  •  Monitors and analyzes Service Center and Division performance and identifies cost saving opportunities for performance improvement.
  •  Oversees the preparation of budgets for Service Centers within the Division.
  •  Oversees month-end financial statement preparation and fiscal year-end reporting.
  •  Oversees month-end forecast preparation and prepares analysis for submission to corporate.
  •  Indirectly manage branch Controllers
  •  Defines areas of responsibility and training requirements at Service Centers. Provides on-site procedural training, as appropriate.
  •  Conducts regular site visits to gather financial information and audit policies/procedures, financial reports and accounting practices.
  •  Remains involved in establishing, upgrading and coordinating computer and accounting systems used in controlling financial operations of the Company.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  •  8+ Years of Accounting and Financial Management experience
  • Multi-Location Controller experience is preferred
  • Superb communication skills and ability to influence
  •  CPA license
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50-75%
