The Credit and Collections team is responsible for directing the accounts receivable and credit functions in accordance with generally accepted principles, other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with credit management techniques and practices appropriate within the construction industry.


  • Maintains current practices and procedures and administers changes where needed.
  • Phone calls, email communication, certified or regular mail to delinquent home owner accounts.
  • Resolves daily problems and issues concerning the department.
  • Analyzes AR financial data and collection trends.
  • Formulates and implements solutions to improve strength to keep the bad debt and DSO within targets.
  • Oversees production of various monthly and quarterly AR reports for distribution to the General Managers, Department Managers, Division Controllers.
  • Develops and implements AR standard operating policies, including the extension of credit and collection procedures.
  • Responsible for monthly financing reports, and tracking associated cost.
  • Compiles and reviews monthly accounts receivable schedule and works with departments to be within company standards.
  • Works closely with finance companies – training new products and procedures.
  • Monitors and tracks monthly financing activities for finance partners.

Job Requirements

An Associate’s Degree from a two-year college or technical school and 5 years of accounts receivable experience are required. Related experience and/or training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products. This job requires the ability to use a calculator, create and interpret spreadsheets and operate general office machines.
