The Benefits Analyst processes and ensures that the administration of daily activities within the benefits arena are performed with efficiency. He/she reviews reporting and billing to adequately access the trends, errors and any inconsistencies. Initiates and completes projects relative to Compliance and Federal/State reporting requirements.


  • Prepares reporting related to benefit plans, including 5500s, ACA, Summary Annual Reports, and support of the annual audit process.
  • Identifies opportunities for operational improvements and works with various multi-functional project teams to implement identified changes.
  • Assists with the review and design of benefit plans to determine optimal value for team members and the company.
  • Provides customer support for benefit programs through direct employee contact, and interfacing with external vendors and internal resources related to our medical, dental, vision, 401k retirement plan and deferred compensation.
  • Responds to ongoing and ad hoc management information reporting needs in support of Benefits, HR, and department operations; ensures availability and accuracy of needed information. 
  • Assists with the development of benefit communication materials in coordination with internal and external resources.
  • Conducts research on benefit programs including legal, regulatory compliance, costing and utilization.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree, 3 years of experience with HR and/or benefits administration. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required specifically Excel or Access. This job requires the ability to create and interpret spreadsheets.
