Columbus Worthington Air is seeking an Accounting Specialist that provides accounting support, processes invoices, and handles high volume work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain records and files send from locations, and other miscellaneous filings.
  • Assists in a variety of accounts payable duties to include sorting mail, matching checks, and invoices, inserting checks into envelopes, researching information, and verifying accuracy of entries.
  • Assist with customers in discrepancies with checks or any issues of balances.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors and departmental personnel via telephone, email and written correspondence to answer inquiries and provide information.
  • Assist in month-end closings.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • HS diploma, or GED equivalent
  • General knowledge of the AP/AR process and knowledge of basic bookkeeping or accounting functions
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and identify errors
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills are required
  • High level of excitement to learn something new and think outside of the box
