Job Description

Company: ARS/Rescue Rooter

The Director of Media Planning is the overall steward of off-line media for the company.  He/she has responsibility for partnering with our service centers to ensure their media buys produce the maximum ROI (i.e., purchase and execute media to minimize our overall cost per acquisition at the lowest cost possible).  This person will help to develop and maintain strong relationships with outside agencies which will help our service centers build media solutions to maximize revenue.  This person will be accountable for leveraging all local buys into one national buy and creating strategies that will make our media buying and execution best in class.

 

  • Collaborate with service centers and agencies to help build strategic creative media plans.
  • Help service centers plan strategically through an understanding of internal business goals.
  • Negotiate rate with media vendors to obtain most competitive prices.
  • Recommend tests and KPIs to continually optimize our media buying and execution.
  • Create and curate best practices to the service centers regarding medium, creative and messaging.
  • Consult with service centers to ensure their media budget, mix and creatives are appropriate for their respective markets and for the service centers' goals.
  • Serves as a Center of Excellence for the service centers in helping them with the media buying process, creative and execution. Help to valuate proposals and select partners across mediums.
  • Help to monitor and audit offline ad campaigns (e.g. radio, TV, magazines, billboards).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communication preferred.
  • 6+ years’ experience in media planning, buying and management.
  • Experience with productive and position vendor relationship management.
