Job Description

Company: ARS/Rescue Rooter


Provides accounting and clerical support to the accounting department for effective handling of financial records and operations. Plans, directs, and coordinates human resources functions such as recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance.

♦ Maintains records and files, including accounts payable and accounts receivable documentation and miscellaneous filings.

♦ Performs a variety of accounts payable duties to include sorting and matching checks and invoices, inserting checks into envelopes, researching information, entering credit memos, verifying accuracy of credit entries and updating system to ensure credits are processed.

♦ Performs in a variety of accounts receivable duties.

♦ Performs basic audit functions to ensure proper posting to accounts.

♦ Prepares correspondence to assist in answering inquiries and resolving discrepancies.

♦ Creates customer and vendor files, files invoices and copies of checks and updates customer and vendor information.

♦ Ensures accurate documentation of personnel changes and additions to employee files.

♦ Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.

♦ Performs benefit and payroll problem resolution.

♦ Communicates with customers, vendors and departmental personnel via telephone, email and written correspondence to answer inquiries and provide information.

♦ Assists in preparing month-end reporting to include printing various reports and creating spreadsheets.

♦ Prepares daily and weekly reports. 

Job Requirements


HS diploma, or GED equivalent, and 3-5 years experience in Payroll/HR is required. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Strong interpersonal and communications skills are required. Typing or keyboarding experience required. Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office products and able to use a calculator and other general office machines. Knowledge of labor law required.
